St Georges Celebration
Come to Sharnfold on Saturday April 26th, ffom 10 until 4 we are celebrating the Patron Saint of England! It will be a fun day for all, with a small charge to cover entry for children, prizes for all those in fancy dress, and games including the slippery pole and slap a dragon!!
Also a barbecue at lunch time.
Though some of the animals are snug in their winter quarters it is still possible to see the chickens, ducks ,goats, pigs lambs and Shetland ponies. Also the baby chicks, which are growing fast.
For the Farm Shop, Carol Hilsdon believes in stocking where possible our own grown produce, then quality local products, and if these are not available items from farther afield are stocked.
The Farm Shop is laden with a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, including several varieties of very local apples, bags of potatoes, winter squashes and fresh meat are very popular at the moment. Our own beef as well as our own Happy Pork is now available, why not buy for the freezer with our beef boxes?
Sharnfold has a good selection of unusual preserves and honey, including honeycomb, and also cakes and meringues as well as local organic milk and yoghurts. Each morning the smell of fresh baked bread, pain au raisin and croissants mingles with the aroma of fresh coffee to tantalise the taste buds.
There is a good range of frozen ready meals from the Kent company COOK and also frozen fruit and vegetables, pastry and other items, as well as frozen meat every day, and fresh meat for the weekend.
The fishing lake is open every day from 7am until dusk and day tickets cost £6.00. Local turf can be ordered too, phone 01323 768490 and leave a message or email us.
