On 26 January we were delighted to be a runner up at a glitzy event at the Amex Stadium in Brighton.

It was great to see our cheese supplier, High Weald Diary, win one of the awards too. Well done!

How about visiting Sharnfold in the evening for an intimate fine dining experience?  After the huge success of the event in 2011, we are pleased to announce another date – act fast if you fancy coming along!

We will be holding the event on 18 February at 7.30 pm. Our Head Chef has created a delicious 5 course set menu that will, of course, feature farm grown produce and goods from other very local suppliers.  A taste sensation!

• Ham hock terrine served with homemade piccalilli, onion bread and English mustard butter
• Roasted salmon with broad bean, pea and mint risotto
• Chicken breast wrapped in Parma ham with spinach mousseline and blackened tomato and basil sauce potato cake.  A selection of seasonal vegetables
• Treacle tart with clotted cream ice cream and rhubarb fool
• A selection of Sussex cheeses, chutneys and biscuits
• Coffee

Our very popular Easter Egg hunt has been extended over 2 days and a new school holiday Eye Spy challenge will be on too!

Keep the children entertained during the school holidays with fun activities at the farm – there are lots of things to do at Sharnfold in Eastbourne!

Have your kids/grandkids got what it takes to do the Eye Spy Farm Walk Challenge? Test their (and your!) powers of observation and tick off everything you see around the Farm Trail.  Ask at the shop for your challenge entry.

All those that complete the course will be entered into a prize draw!

Don’t forget that you can also visit the farm animals, go on a Tractor and Trailer ride (12 and 2 pm), have fun in the play area and enjoy a well deserved bite to eat from the Coffee Shop!

Fancy a great new book?  Come along to Sharnfold Farm and meet the authors of Recipes for Life and pick up a signed copy.

Recipes for Life is a book of short stories and recipes – a tempting mix of delicious and fun stories inspired by food.

The authors, Bernadine O’Connell, Anne Vine and Alison Gibbons have created a story book that includes the ups and downs of life, lots of humour and wacky recipes.
