Fishing and Recreation

This 2 acre day ticket water has Tench to 6 lbs,  Perch to 4 lbs, barbel to 8lbs , chub to 4lbs also bream, and roach, and for a long time has had a carp free policy.

The relaxed, natural feel to the lake has not changed, however in October 2007 small true crucian carp sourced from Mark Simmonds Heather Fisheries have also been introduced, in order to give the angler more variety.

No other species of carp will be brought in.

Day tickets remain at £6.00, from 7am until dusk, and half day, from 3pm till dusk are £4.00.

Anglers should purchase their tickets from the farm shop on their way to the lake.

 


The Farm Trail

The Farm Trail is a fairly level grassy walk, suitable for pushchairs with large wheels, and has several short cut options, which can reduce the 15-20 minutes required for the full circuit.

In summer the full complement of farm animals can be seen, including :- cows, lambs, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, ponies, however in winter some of these animals are housed in the farm buildings and cannot be seen.

The trail followa a route through the woodland established in 1996, and passes near the lakes: many different species of flora and fauna can be seen.

CARAVANS

there is a Caravan Club site for 5 vans on the farm which is proving to be very popular, booking is essential.
