IT IS OFFICIALLY SUMMER FRUIT PICKING TIME IS HERE!!
We have Pick Your Own Raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, whitecurrants, blackberries, spinach, carrots, and Runner Beans.!!!
There is plenty of lovely ripe fruit just waiting to be picked NOW!!
On Saturday 26th July we are to have a CARNIVAL THEMED FUN OPEN DAY, with coconut shy, hook a duck, refreshements, food tastings, and more.
The Farm, Farm Shop and Farm Trail are open from 9.30 am unbtil 6.00 pm every day
We now have our own cabbage, cauliflower, calabrese fresh picked every day in the farm shop, and also we are picking strawberries to sell from the shop.
The farm trail is spectacular at the moment, and winds past the farm animals and the fishing lake.
It is a leisurely 20 minute stroll along the trail, but there are short cuts!
it is also possible to see the chickens, ducks ,goats, cattle, friendly outdoor pigs, lambs and Shetland ponies.
For the Farm Shop, Carol Hilsdon believes in stocking where possible our own grown produce, then quality local products, and if these are not available items from farther afield are stocked.
The Farm Shop is laden with a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, including several varieties of very local apples, bags of potatoes, winter squashes and fresh meat are very popular at the moment. Our own beef as well as our own Happy Pork is now available, why not buy for the freezer with our beef boxes?
Sharnfold has a good selection of unusual preserves and honey, including honeycomb, and also cakes and meringues as well as local organic milk and yoghurts. Each morning the smell of fresh baked bread, pain au raisin and croissants mingles with the aroma of fresh coffee to tantalise the taste buds.
There is a good range of frozen ready meals from the Kent company COOK and also frozen fruit and vegetables, pastry and other items, as well as frozen meat every day, and fresh meat for the weekend.
The fishing lake is open every day from 7am until dusk and day tickets cost £6.00. Local turf can be ordered too, phone 01323 768490 and leave a message or email us.
