Christmas – trees, meat and veg!
Dates for your diary
Can you believe Christmas is nearly here again? We know it’s a bit early to mention it but some things need some forward planning!
- Our own farm-grown Christmas trees will be available from 1 December in a wonderful array of shapes and sizes.
Do you know that there are over 18,000 Christmas trees growing on our patch near Stone Cross in Eastbourne? We will cut around 1,500 trees this year. We have to grow trees for 6-10 years to have a good range of sizes and shapes for you. Up to 25ft trees are available, as well as shapely smaller ones. You can buy trees from the Farm Shop from 1 December.
- Remember to order your locally-reared, tasty Christmas meats from the Farm Shop butcher between 1 November and 5 December 2012. These include our own well hung beef (30 days minimum) and award winning sausages, as well as local turkey and other meats that have travelled less than 10 miles.
Infact, the Turkey comes from Horam, the chickens are from Hailsham and the Lamb is from Willingdon. That will impress your folks!
- You have until 18 December to order all your delicious fresh veggies– including sprout stalks! We try to find local veggie growers too – the best this year is from Kent and we will take orders until 18 December. However the chutneys, pickles and jellies range are from Ouse Valley Foods, near Lewes, so condiments are closer!

Our customers told us...
“We definitely recommend Sharnfold for Christmas Trees. They grow their own, there is lots of choice and you always get a really nice shaped tree for a decent price.”
